Chapter Twenty Four: The Order for an Other Matters Commission

The Chief Minister for the Conduct of State has read and understood the official correspondence from the Chancellor of the Constitution, and was contemplating on the possible moves coming from the enemy as to what will happen next. He is quite aware that they are now moving very quickly to rush the launching of this evil Galactic Siege.

Of course, the Chancellor was very concerned with the "corruption" happening within the Space Transportation, and he was almost certain that the anomaly has something to do with the piracy that was happening in the vital highway systems connecting the several planets, an important factor for preserving the economic viability within the trusted traditional trade routes.

This is a matter of constitutional affairs, according to the letter, and the Upper Chamber is very much concern within the common sentiment of the Republicists that an order from the Chamber Caucus has caused this letter to request for the convening of the Other Matters Commission for the Investigation of Highway Transportation.

The Chief Minister understands that the enemy will be very interested in the Space Transportation; it is only logical, but as to the minute details of this plan, this still seems very dubious to him.

Do they need to kick the Minister for Transport out? Are they manipulating the Toll Regulatory Board to involve economic interests into the corruption narrative, so as to warrant political maneuverings? He is quite uncertain at this point.

But he do know that an evil plan exists, and then after everything totally materialized according to their "time schedule," the Galactic Siege will abruptly begin. It will always come in the most unexpected places, and so he is trying to ready himself, to delay their preparations even, just to make it in time for the appearance of the Perpendicular Star.

He has read the letter again, trying to read between the lines, trying to decode cryptic messages or codes used by the Minority Space before. However, it will simply not surface very easily, as they do often. He just needed to buy time and wait for the arrival of this prophetic star.

It was his solemn duty to succeed from this mission, and he is quite versed with the language of Prophenese because he is a Reader himself. The Agreement he needs to read involves Mages and a promised King, but that will come later than sooner.

What is important at this juncture is to wait for things to be chaotic, because chaos is a sure sign of confusion, and confusion is all important for propaganda. Right now, there is no other way to proceed but to order this Other Matters Commission and to read what is their next move will be.
