Chapter Forty One: The Perpendicular Star Appears
Lucifer the Devil have felt it quite considerably, just like some of his most loyal and accomplished demons, its power so subtle, yet most potent, a truly marvelous thing to behold. It was no mistaking that the perpendicular star has been found within the constellations and planetary systems of the Ministry of Space, and his presence here will command the greatest threat to the Angelic hosts. His arrival is the epitome of the desired perfect timing.
"But the question is, when did it actually occur?" Lucifer the Devil murmured to himself as his spaceship lands on the platform of one of the most distant rebel bases. He was warmly greeted upon entering.
"Welcome, my Dark Angel," one of the revolutionaries acknowledged his presence with a salute. "We were already expecting you."
"For what?" Lucifer said with sarcasm, totally annoyed. "Do you have anything useful to report to me, enough to anticipate this untimely visit?" He was really in no mood to mince words regarding the incompetency of these revolutionary bases. His patience has started to be worn out at this point.
"Of course. Regarding that, we have considerable evidence to believe that the perdencular star in question has not yet been seen anywhere in the universe, as a matter of fact, we have seen on the telescope . . ."
"What color was the perpendicular star, again? Do you recall?" Satan cut him off, obviously too tired to listen to this useless information.
"There is evidence that it is red, my Dark Prince," the revolutionary said with a trembling voice. He felt the tension rise and did not wish to escalate it any further. Lucifer's temper is not a thing to be anticipated.
"Well, it has been seen already. There is no mistaking that its presence emits a certain form of grace, very similar to the Bethlehem star."
"It- it was seen, my Prince? Surely? Then we might be operating on the wrong set of data points! It cannot be the case, given all the data that we have been processing for so long now," the revolutionary stated, shocked beyond belief.
"I know. I understand," Lucifer the Devil said blankly. He quickly flashed the most devious smile that is unmistakably his own.
"I don't clearly understand what you are trying to say, my Prince," the revolutionary said, now feeling fearful. There is something wrong with the voice and that distinctively devilish smile is a bad omen. He is already too certain that something treacherous is about to happen.
"I am sure you already know, my servant," Satan said without emotion.
No one exactly noticed what hit the revolutionary, but he was already dead even before hitting the ground.
